Fake News? Real News? Our TRUE God Trumps All!

Many of us can remember asking questions or may still ask ones like: Is God Real? What is the meaning of life? What about life after death? Struggling with the meaning of life for me had begun as far back as I can remember. I don't know if it was because a Doctor told my mom in front of me, (I was about seven or eight years old) that I would be dead by the time I was twenty, due to a neuromuscular disease that would eventually render my muscles wasted away enough, that I'd be unable to fight off pneumonia. (Thankfully, even Doctor's are unable to know what only God does!)  Regardless, it doesn't matter what prompted my "meaning of life thoughts."  What matters most to me is that I had them and as a result, I was set free from the depths of despair and fear of death! All of my queries would be answered. Fear of death and the unknown had lifted as if a full sized elephant was lifted off of my being.

[1Co 15:51-58 KJV] 51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal [must] put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55 O death, where [is] thy sting? O grave, where [is] thy victory? 56  The sting of death [is] sin; and the strength of sin [is] the law. 57 But thanks [be] to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Reason To Fear
As I watch what's happening around the world, I find myself saying to friends that if I was not a Christian right now, I would be terrified. In fact there are folks that I know who prefer to stay unaware current events, because it's too much to bear. No doubt, with all that is going on these days, terrorism, strange weather events, mass animal and ocean life deaths, celestial events, civil unrest, wars and rumors of wars all over, pestilences and diseases, moral decay, and worst of all, parts of the world living in utter Godlessness...no doubt, the temptation to slip back into my 1979 mode is a good reason to fear.

There I was, alone in my bedroom, in 1979 or so, residing in a residential institution for children living with physical disabilities, away from my family, anxiously listening to the news on the radio. The announcer announcing that Russia was invading Afghanistan. and I believe there was talk about the United States of America's possible intervention or some such thing.
Growing up very aware of what nuclear bombs could do and the Cold War tensions between Russia and America, I was petrified that World War 3 was around the corner, that a nuke could easily drop down through our Canadian skies! It may sound silly to some to hear the ramblings of a young teenage girl, quaking in her slippers about imminent war and inevitable death.
For me, it was a legitimate fear. Being far away from my Dad's assurances like I had so many times during girlhood, now, left alone with my thoughts and the radio, where my imagination knew no bounds.
Dad was the one I always would turn to in a heartbeat, seeking reassurance and understanding. Over and over, fear of death and dying by whatever means, back even when I was about six or seven, I would plead with Dad, making him promise that there would be no World War Three, no hurricanes, no tornadoes, no earthquakes and such. A lot my poor earthly Dad had to commit to for one wee little girl, but, he did! Thanks Dad for your assurance, I know now that all of that is in my Heavenly Father's Hands, but He blessed me with an earthly Dad (that's you!) to ease a little girl's serious fears just when she needed it most! :o) Thank you that you never laughed or made fun of me for them.

And now here I am almost 30 years later, watching, hearing, and reading the same news, very real news, just as everyone else. And yes, the temptation to be fearful pounds on my door.
Thankfully, I am greatly reassured with our Sure Hope, knowing something now what I did not know back then… or should I say knowing some ONE that I did not know back then, that we have nothing to fear when we place our hope in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

[Rom 8:24-25 KJV] 24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? 25 But if we hope for that we see not, [then] do we with patience wait for [it].
Never one to just believe something because it makes me feel warm and fuzzy, I can tell you with great assurance that no matter what happens on this planet or in your tiny little room, wherever you are, that Jesus Christ is more real than what you can see with your own eyes and hear with your ears and touch with your fingertips! I can tell you this as a skeptic, cynic, one who seeks evidence and proof  before ascribing to anything, that He is Alive and Real. Nothing fake about Jesus Christ! If you are reading this, I trust that He is knocking at the door of your heart, just as He once did my husband's and mine. You have the opportunity to be set free from fear of death and the gift of knowing what life is all about, the ability to discern between what is real and what is fake.
[1Jo 5:11-14 KJV] 11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He that hath the Son hath life; [and] he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. 14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
Nothing To Lose, Everything To Gain....
You have nothing to lose by crying out to HIM. He knows what you're thinking, how are you are feeling, what your hopes and dreams are, and he even knows every wretched horrible sinful thoughts or acts that we have done and may do  again. It would take pages to document the wretched life that Jesus Christ saved me from.
about.

We offer you Thee One and Only Sure Hope, to all who seek Truth. Whether are you are afraid, unsure, lost, confused, alone, lonely…  seeking the answers to life,  There is an absolute Truth - Sure Hope, Jesus Christ. Cry out to Him. He loves you more than you can ever know.

[Isa 40:31 KJV] 31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew [their] strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; [and] they shall walk, and not faint.

[Jhn 3:15-22 KJV] 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. 22 After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judaea; and there he tarried with them, and baptized.

[Jhn 6:32-40 KJV] 32 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. 34 Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. 35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. 36 But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not. 37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. 38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. 39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. 40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
